The Paris Agreement set the goal of keeping global warming well below 2 °C, aiming for 1.5 °C. Achieving this requires a fundamental transformation of how we produce, distribute and consume energy. COMCAM wants to play an active role in this transition.
Paris Proof is the Dutch Green Building Council (DGBC) approach for the built environment: reducing actual energy use per square metre by two thirds compared to today, so that the remaining demand can be met with renewable energy by 2040. The targets are expressed in kWh per square metre per year and differ per building type. COMCAM signed the Paris Proof Commitment at Provada 2023.
